Node ID Recognition

Description

Node ID Recognition lets a system in a network determine if an incoming call applies to it or to another system in the network.

Conditions and Feature Interactions

• Node IDs should be unique numbers. The node ID should not conflict with station numbers, feature access codes, or speed call numbers.

• The first node ID is the primary identifier for the node. This identifier appears in all SMDR and traffic report outputs.

• All entries on the ARS Node Identities form are synonyms for the primary node ID.

• The node identifier can be up to seven digits long.
